Blue Chip Winery Fund: News

Acquisition Targets Identified
There are three superior properties that are currently available on the market; each property is a potential acquisition target with letters of intent currently being negotiated. The following is a summary of opportunities for our Limited Partners:

Niagara Region
We are excited to be entering into a Letter of Intent to purchase a stunning property in the Niagara area. Completely private, hidden behind woods, ravines and parklands, the long lazy drive meanders past a 2 acre (0.891 hectare) pond with dock arriving finally at the magnificently poised European Designed Villa situated on 22.1 acres (8.94 hectares) of breathtaking beauty. Six acres are planted with room to plant 4 more acres. This property is in the most prestigious Sub-Appellation Area - The Beamsville Bench where quality wines and wine tourism are well entrenched!

British Columbia
We are excited to be entering into a Letter of Intent to invest in two exceptional properties in the major Okanagan wine region of Oliver, British Columbia, Canada. Properties of this calibre rarely come to the market. These operations have an excellent reputation, including premium brand names, major market penetration and recognition, and amazing eco/agri-tourism synergies that enhance the wine destination experience.

A signed non-compete/disclosure agreement prevents us from disclosing information on the integrated winery and vineyard property at this time. The stand-alone vineyard property is located on the Black Sage Bench, and which according to senior Canadian wine authorities is undoubtedly the premier grape growing region in British Columbia, if not all of Canada. This property is 50% of the famous Black Sage Vineyard. It has 56 cultivated acres that have produced over the years, single vineyard, award winning wines. Key wine personnel have agreed to be part of this exciting project. Well known and successful wineries on the Black Sage Bench include the Black Hills Winery and the Burrowing Owl Estate Winery.

Stunning growth in core wine-drinking population
A slumping economy. Sales declining. Restaurants suffering. Consumer confidence at an all-time low. Despite a troubling recession, a report issued this week by the industry promotional group the Wine Market Council identifies positive and promising trends for the wine business in the year ahead. As reported by Wine Business.com John Gillespie, president of the industry-sponsored group, is that consumption has increased for the 15th consecutive year as reported here.
